How To Train Like A Champion Without The Gym Fees
The 8 – 8 Problem
For me personally, the big problem with going to the gym was the time everything took to do. Working a corporate job, which can sometimes mean an 8am – 8pm day, makes getting to the gym, working out, and getting home a painful task. I’ve spoken to lots of my friends in the same situation and found out they often end up paying for gym memberships they never use!
The simple solution then is to recreate the gym experience at home right? Not quite….
Economics And Hassle
There are two big problems with setting up a home gym, buying equipment, and creating a program so you can use it all. Buying equipment is not only expensive it’s hard to decide on what to actually get. Do you get a full weight set? Do you get a bench and resistance machines? Before long you’ll end up getting everything or caught up in a never ending pursuit until you fill an entire room with stuff you’ll never use. This of course means massive costs.
Even if you have lots of gym equipment, what do you do with it all? At some stage you’ll need to create a program or, pay for someone to create one for you. Again, the costs mount up. You might as well have kept your gym membership.
It doesn’t have to go like that however.
The Rise And Rise Of Home Workout Routines
Home workout programs (like workout DVDs) solve a number of problems in one go. For one low cost you get a full end to end training program. Most home work out programs set the fitness bar high, so the chances you’ll find it easy on day one are slim. In fact most home workout programs set the bar extremely high, meaning you’ll need to get mega fit to ever max out the program and find it “easy”.
It’s All About Convenience
Using home work out program means no more gyms, no more specialized equipment, and no fuss. For most programs you only need a few different hand weights and a clear space. You simply pop in the DVD and go mad! No time restrictions, no waiting in line for a piece of equipment, it’s all on your time.
Train Like A Champion
A lot of the fittest athletes in the world have created their own home workout programs. While these athletes might be at a different fitness levels to you and I mere mortals they have access to world class trainers and coaches. The techniques and knowledge they have finds it’s way into their programs. Not only do you get a home work out program you also get trained by a champion. I think, if it’s good enough for them it should certainty benefit us!
It’s About You
In the end, getting fit is a personal thing. If you like going to the gym that’s great, if you hate the gym and find excuses to not go that’s bad. If you still want to get fit but hate the idea of gym look into the some of the home workout programs created by champion athletes.
